Cardigan, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire
The Ceredigion coastline to the north of Cardigan is dotted with coastal villages such as Aberporth, Llangrannog, and New Quay. Two coastal harbour towns, Aberaeron and Aberystwyth offer visitors a variety of experiences and attractions. The charming towns of Newport, Fishguard, and the Cathedral city of St Davids are just a few of the places within an hours’ drive of Cardigan Castle.

A Trail for Everyone
Just 122 steps over the Teifi across the river bridg,e from the Castle you find yourself in Pembrokeshire, famed of course for the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
With walks suitable for all abilities and experience levels, split up into smaller, more manageable sections, walking the Coast Path is a key staple when visiting West Wales.
The Ceredigion Coast path spans 60 miles of the 870 mile Welsh Coast Path, with some of the most varied coastal landscapes of the whole country. Leading you from Cardigan to Ynyslas, you’ll discover steep cliffs, beautiful beaches, mountain views, and, if you’re lucky, spot some of the county’s resident dolphins.
Whichever direction you head in, get your walking gear on and discover the beauty of West Wales from the coast.
