Research at the Castle
There are many opportunities to get involved with the research that takes place at the Castle. Have you visited the new ‘Castle Collection’ website? there you can view the areas covered and much of the Castle’s rich heritage.
We have a whole team of research volunteers from all backgrounds and ages who come into the Castle on a weekly basis – led by our Castle Historian Glen Johnson.
They research, scan, digitise and file their findings, and are available to help the visiting public however, if possible please contact the Castle in advance if you have a specific query or historic question that you would like to ask. Please email info@cardigancastle.com.
The Dyfed Family history group also meet regularly at the Castle and are a great help tracing ancestors and family ties within the area. The Cardigan branch meet on the first Monday in each month at 7.30pm at Cardigan Castle in the Tower Room (enter through the gate by the 1176 restaurant). Contact Ken James – cardigansecretary@dyfedfhs.org.uk (01239 710829).
