“Steddfod Unnos” (a Welsh language Event)

The “Steddfod Unnos” – (One night Eisteddfod) is being held to celebrate the fact that in 1176 Lord Rhys held the first ever Eisteddfod, in Cardigan at the Castle. He held the event to mark the completion of the first ever stone built Castle – built by a Welshman. On Friday night we will be locking 8 poets in the Castle overnight, and they will create and compose until the following morning. Later on Saturday one will be Chaired as the victorious poet and we will hear songs performed by Rhiannon O’Connor from the music Chair.  (This is a Welsh language event)
