Ym mis Medi 2015 dechreuodd Meinir Heulyn Glwb Telyn llewyrchus a chyffrous yng Nghastell Aberteifi ar gyfer telynorion ifanc i roi cyfle iddynt ddatblygu eu dawn fel telynorion ac i feithrin y grefft o ganu’r delyn mewn ensemble.

Cynhelir dau ddosbarth bob pythefnos ar fore Sadwrn yn ystod tymor yr ysgol, un ar gyfer dechreuwyr, a’r dosbarth arall ar gyfer myfyrwyr mwy profiadol. Rhoddir dau gyngerdd pob blwyddyn pryd  y mae aelodau’r clwb nid yn unig yn cael y cyfle i berfformio mewn cyngerdd cyhoeddus yn Ystafell y Tŵr ond hefyd yn cael y pleser o wrando a dysgu wrth unawdwyr gwadd. Eisoes rhoddwyd datganiadau gan fyfyrwyr gwych o Goleg Brenhinol Cerdd a Drama Cymru a’r Academi Frenhinol, yn ogystal a datganiad gwefreiddiol gan Robin Huw Bowen, brenin y delyn deires, Nadolig 2016.

Yn barod  mae’r clwb yn denu telynorion ifanc o gryn bellter ac mae’n bleser gweld y cynnydd yn eu datblygiad fel telynorion ond hefyd yn mwynhau y profiad o gyd-chwarae a gwneud ffrindiau newydd ym myd y delyn. O fod yn aelod o’r clwb cewch fod yn rhan o adfywiad ein hofferyn cenedlaethol yng Ngorllewin Cymru.

A Harp Club for the young harpists of Dyfed

8-18 years old

An opportunity to enjoy playing the harp in a

harp ensemble at Cardigan Castle

How about joining us on a Saturday morning every fortnight?

For more information please contact Meinir Heulyn

Meinir Heulyn started a successful harp club at Cardigan Castle September 2015, for young harpists to develop their skills as harpists and also for them to have the pleasure of taking part in a harp ensemble.

Two classes are held every fortnight on Saturday mornings during school term, one for beginners and another for more advanced students. We give two public concerts every year when all members of the club not only have an opportunity to perform in the magnificent Tower Room of the castle but also have the pleasure of listening and learning from guest harpists. To date recitals given by students from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and the Royal Academy of Music have delighted audiences, as well as a mesmerizing recital given by Robin Huw Bowen, Christmas 2016.

The club attract members from all over Dyfed and its a pleasure to see the students developing as proficent and confident harpists, making new friends in the world of the harp. By being a member of the club you become part of the revival of our national instrument in West Wales.
