Membership

By purchasing an Online Membership, you will be required to download our Membership Card App, Cardskipper, in order to access the deals and special offers made available to members. You may need to present the Membership Card at the Castle whilst either accessing the site, an event or taking advantage of a special offer that has been made available to you. Failure to present the card may result in admission or access to the special offers being denied.

The app is provided by a third-party company, Cardskipper, who will hold the personal data that you enter whilst signing up.

Special offers and deals will be offered subject to availability. These may change in scope over time.

The permanent offer such as 10% discount from Accommodation bookings can only be used a reasonable amount of times in a calendar year. Reasonable can be considered to be 10 times over the period of the 12-month membership.

The Individual Membership or its benefits cannot be transferred to a non-member; the only exception to this is the use of the 10% discount booking accommodation for Friends and Family, where the member can make the booking on their friends/family’s behalf to claim the 10% discount. None of the benefits/special or offers are available to the children other than free entry to the site during the 12 months of the membership. Some events may also include free entry for children of Family Members; however, this will be stated explicitly for each event where it applies.

The Family Membership provides all the stated benefits to the 2 named adults. This scheme does make the purchaser a member of Cadwgan Building Preservation Trust (CBPT) and does not entitle the purchaser to voting rights for the CBPT Annual General Meeting. Applications to join CBPT must be made separately.

We protect your privacy and want you to feel confident in how your personal information is handled.

Your data will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). This means that to hold any personal information that may lead to you, we need your consent. Examples of personal data are:

- your name

- address

- birth date

- mail address

- telephone number

- photo

i.e. things that can make you searchable.

In order for you to proceed and use the Cardskipper service that hosts our Digital Membership Card, we as an organisation require your consent. By clicking accepting these Terms and Conditions you are providing this consent for your data to be stored by us and CardSkipper for the purposes of your Membership of Cardigan Castle.

The App will be used to send you regular correspondence including latest news and special offers available to members. If you choose to leave the membership scheme at any time your details will be held for 2 years unless you specifically request that they are removed/deleted from our records.
