Birthday gift from Mrs Mag Williams, 95

Cardigan Castle now has a defibrillator thanks to the generosity of Mrs Mag Williams of Cardigan who celebrated her 95th birthday by raising funds for Calonnau Cymru (Welsh Hearts).

The charity match funded the £450 and Mrs Williams presented the defibrillator to the castle this week.
Pictured are Cadwgan secretary Joff Timms and castle facilities officer Sue Lewis receiving the defibrillator from Mrs Williams along with Sharon Owen, Julian Evans and Meinir Lewis of Calonnau Cymru.

Mrs Williams said: “Diolch i bawb am wneud fy mhenblwydd yn hywl a phleser. Rhoddion yn mynd i Calonnau Cymru. A big thank you to all.”

The defibrillator will be placed in the 1176 restaurant with castle staff and volunteers being trained to use it.
