Get set for a cracking Easter at Cardigan Castle!
The Easter holiday kicks off a busy programme of events at the castle starting with the now traditional Easter Egg hunt in the castle grounds from Good Friday to Easter Monday. Get the kids searching for the hidden Easter bunnies and win a chocolate egg!
Good Friday also sees the first of two Falconry Fridays with stunning displays by Pembrokeshire Falconry throughout the day.
On Wednesday, April 4, the castle celebrates its medieval origins with a Medieval Day. As well as a craft fair there is also a puppet show from Small World Theatre plus a bilingual live performance by history theatrical group Mewn Cymeriad. Guides will be on hand for free medieval tours around the house and grounds and there is also live music from harpist Sarah-Jane Absalom. Throw in outdoor games plus dressing up fun and there is plenty to keep the family entertained.
Castle volunteer archivists have also put together a medieval themed exhibition together with a selection of medieval artefacts discovered in the archaeological dig that took place during the restoration period.
The activities are included in the entrance fee or free for castle pass holders.
The castle is open 10am to 4pm every day throughout the Easter holidays.
