Castle Scoops High Commendation at Heritage Angel Awards

Cardigan Castle has added another certificate of Commendation to it’s trophy Cabinet.

Sharing the “Best Major Regeneration of a Historic Building or Place” category with the National Museum of Wales St Fagan as well as the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Cardigan Castle collected a “Highly Commended Certificate”. The National Museum of Wales captured the top prize following their £30m redevelopment of the open air museum.

The event was attended by Castle Director Jac Davies as well as local historian and Castle Man Glen Johnson. Speaking after the event, Davies commented; “This is an incredible celebration of the people who make a difference in the preservation of Welsh heritage and culture, I was delighted to have Glen’s company this evening, one of those very people and a true Heritage Angel for Cardigan Castle”
