Cardigan Castle is delighted to welcome back Meirion Owen and his renowned Quack Pack. The talented dogs used in the Quack Pack demonstrations are all pure-bred Border Collies. They have appeared on the BBC series ‘One Man and his Dog’ and ‘Countryfile’ .

Meirion’s duck herding demonstrations are designed to showcase the amazing talents of Border collies and the communication between handler and dog. His demonstrations are informative, educational and highly entertaining. The Border collies herd Indian Runner Ducks also known as the Quack Pack. These are an extraordinary looking duck with quite short legs, with tall, upright bodies – much like a penguin. They can be up to 14” tall and can weigh around 3 to 5 lbs. As their name suggests, they run rather than waddle.

On Saturday the 23rd of August come to Cardigan Castle to see the Quack pack in action. Performances at 11.30am and 1.30 pm. Admission is free with a Castle entry ticket.

Sadly, for this day only no other dogs are allowed to enter the Castle.
